THE PHOTOGRAPHY OF G. B. LAMM

UNC CHAPEL HILL 1937-1941

Greyard Byrne Lamm, from Maxton, NC, graduated from UNC with a sociology degree in 1941.
His photos were often spotlighted in the "Tar an' Feathers" and "Buccaneer" magazines (he was
on the staff for both), also supplied photos for "Yackety Yack",  "The Daily Tar Heel", and often
sold photos to regional newspapers in Charlotte and Greensboro.
While at UNC, he was on the track team as a pole vaulter, and attended many formal dances
where the major big bands of the day performed.
These are just a few of the photos he took at UNC between 1937 and 1941, we hope you enjoy them.
